Humanity withdraws approximately 4 trillion cubic meters (4,000 km³) of freshwater each year. Data from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) AQUASTAT database demonstrates that agricultural irrigation accounts for roughly 70% of total freshwater withdrawals, with industry consuming 19% and municipal domestic usage accounting for 11%.

Carbon dioxide statistics are calibrated using the annual carbon budget published by the Global Carbon Project and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), showing roughly 37.4 billion metric tons of fossil CO2 emissions annually. Deforestation rates are derived from satellite remote sensing data published by Global Forest Watch and the World Resources Institute (WRI).

Solar and clean energy generation data is calibrated via the International Energy Agency (IEA) Global Renewables Tracking Database.
